Students who intend to study Japanese beyond Year 9 must select LOTE - Japanese as an elective subject (to take place during semester 2), in addition to selecting Japanese as their core LOTE subject.  These should be placed in their first three choices on the subject selection form. In this unit students will be required to build on the vocabulary and grammar covered in Year 8 and aim to formulate paragraphs in new tenses such as past and future tense. Topics in this unit include: Katakana, Daily Routine, School Life, and Weather.

  • Listening and Speaking

Contributions to class discussions and completion of class work will also be considered.
