Year 10 Systems Technology

TERTIARY & CAREER PATHWAYS:

Electrician, Electrical Engineer, Electronics Engineer, Electronics Technician, Fire Risk Assessor, IT Consultant, Management Consultant, Project Manager, Technical Author, Technical Sales Assistant.

This course is an introduction to VCE Systems Engineering. Understanding and applying principles of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and electronics to perform a function or a number of functions.

‍

Students will undertake a series of exercises that teach them how to understand and use the Systems Engineering design process to build an object that will operate with the use of gears, wheels and electronic control. They will learn to use a variety of tools and equipment and design software like Fusion 360.

Contributions to class discussions and completion of class work will also be considered.
